Italian Style Club Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 4 x Ciabattas
  • 75ml Caesar Dressing
  • 75ml Light Mayonnaise
  • 25g Dijon Mustard
  • 280g Sliced Salami
  • 8 Rashers Streaky Bacon (cooked until crisp)
  • 140g Mozzarella (cut into slices)
  • 70g Parmesan Shavings
  • 4 Fresh Plum Tomatoes (cut into medium slices)
  • 1 Cos Lettuce (cut the Cos lettuce into ½ inch pieces)
  • 140g Green Olives (pitted and thinly sliced)
  • 7.5g Basil Leaves (torn)

Method

  1. In a bowl, mix together the Caesar dressing, mayonnaise and the Dijon Mustard. Place to one side.
  2. Cut the Ciabattas in half. Spread both halves with the Caesar mayonnaise mix.
  3. Place the bottom half of the Ciabatta onto a tray and then place on the Cos lettuce. Then place the salami on top of the lettuce. Then place the olives, plum tomato slices, torn mozzarella, streaky bacon, torn basil leaves and then finish with the parmesan shavings.
  4. Place the top half of the ciabatta on top and then place into a warm oven and cook until the cheese has melted.
  5. Cut in half on the angle and then serve on a warmed serving plate.
