Gold Award for NH Case Chef Wayne Harris

We are very proud of our development chef Wayne Harris, who won the Gold Award for his  long and outstanding service to the Craft Guild of Chefs. Here he is receiving the award at The Craft Guild of Chefs 2019 AGM awards lunch on Sunday, 7th April at the Victory Services Club in London.

Wayne  has been recognised for his dedication to his  role as Chairman of the Judges for the past six years over seeing the Major Series chef competition. This national competition is open to junior and senior students of varying skills levels and features 9 different classes from “The Chicken Challenge” to the “Assorted Coffee Challenge”.  Wayne works tirelessly with his colleagues and the support of his partner, Louise Barton, who was also recognised with a Diploma for Support for her role in judging the front of house section of the competition.

Wayne commented that he “thoroughly enjoys meeting the students and watching them improve and develop their skills. It takes courage to enter a competition and test your skill level and when you see the success and development of theses young chefs it is very rewarding.”

And in our opinion they could not have a better mentor than Wayne.
